Maintenance Report
Ian and Albert were already on the Gannet when I arrived at the Harbour at 9.00 GMT.
The oil and fuel were checked and the engine started before the mooring ropes were released.
The rewired pumps were returned to the Three Brothers and the bilge water pumped out.
The Gannet was then taken out of the Harbour and a course set to the South outfall buoy. The buoy was rounded and we returned to the Harbour as the air was decidedly chilly.
I disembarked at the outshot steps and Ian and Albert practiced mooring against the Three Brothers. After purchasing a Leisure Battery I was picked up at the steps on the Chicken Run and taken round to the Three Brothers.
The battery was housed and the pump repositioned. More attempts were made to come alongside the Three Brothers. The water in the Harbour was receding quite quickly so it was decided to return the Gannet to its berth at 11.30.
Maintenance Crew: Ian Johnson, Albert Brownhill and Ian Thompson.
